International comic, Lindsay Webb is set to have the Saltbar Beachbar and Bistro roaring with laughter as its popular sit down comedy night returns on the Thursday 2nd of June 2011.
Lindsay is truly an International act worthy of the title, with Six Edinburgh Fringe Festival visits under his belt, as well as plenty of tours across the Tasman (including as an International Guest at the 2009 NZ International Comedy Festival in Auckland).
Lindsay has also done many guest spots on TV & Radio, including “Stand up Australia” & most recently on “Good News Week” (CH 10) & “The Footy Show” (CH 9). He has also managed to recently break a Guinness World Record. An amazing feat he broke the record for the longest stand up routine by an individual. Setting the mark at 38hrs, breaking the old record of 36hrs 15min set by Irish Comic Tommy Tiernan.
The comedy line-up will also include Mark McConville as MC. Mark has been seen on all of the major commercial TV channels as well as being a featured comic on the Comedy Channels “Home Delivered Comedy”. Radio stations haven’t escaped his attention either, having been heard around the country under the “Home Grown Humor” banner.
The evening will also include a performance from Australia's Got Talent 2010 Semi Finalist, Matt Marr who has been a major part of the Queensland comedy scene for the last 3 years. In that short time he has worked with many of Australia’s best-known and most respected comedians… People like Austen Tayshus, Greg Fleet, Paul Brasch, Fred Lang, Gary Eck, Gary Who, Dave Grant, Mick Meredith, Anthony Mir, Pommy Johnson, Greg Sullivan, Julia Morris, and Dave Williams… The list goes on.
Saltbar manager, Juliet Green said that the sit down comedy nights were not to be missed.
